‘Trivandrum Footmat cluster is a project by SFURTI programme of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Ministry of MSME, Government of India. KVIC is the Nodal Agency of the Cluster.
Technical Agency of the Trivandrum Foot mat Cluster is Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) Ahmadabad. EDII is a National level resource agency engaged in entrepreneurship and cluster development activities. It has an office in Kerala to look after the entrepreneurial needs of the State.
Implementing Agency (IA) is Bharat Sevak Samaj. The objective of ‘Trivandrum Foot mat Cluster is to uplift the poor people by socially and economically provides sustained employment. The products of the cluster are doormat, carpet, and floor mat etc. To enhance the status of the artisans, we provide training programmes, Market development assistance and designing classes etc.
The project is implemented through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). Which is to be formed with adequate representation of all major stakeholders.
The SPV is registered under Societies act on 01.01.2019 as BSS Mat Producer’s Association in Trivandrum; Our Registration number is TVM/TC/1/2019. Following members are elected as executive committee members.
